Dogs name – Luna Age and sex 6 yrs and female People – Luna can be wary of men but will come round. She is wary of strangers but given space soon becomes a loving girl. Can I live with children – No Can I live with cats – No Can I live with other dogs ­– No Health – Luna has Arthritis in her back legs, we have arranged some X rays to investigate further. Any issues related to this will be financially covered by DRUE as part of our ‘ongoing condition’ cover. In the home – Luna is crate trained and likes the comfort of it. She would suit a quiet home and is happy to be left. Out and about – Luna can be dog reactive through fear. Type of home – A breed experienced home where it’s quiet as she can be anxious. **Adopted- thank you all, Duke has gone to his new home today 10/7** Please help us to find Duke a new family! Poor Duke isn’t coping well being in kennels and we’d love to get him into a home asap, he thrives on human contact and affection and is becoming withdrawn and dropping weight fast. He’s quite stressed in kennels so we would prefer him to be an only dog. Duke 16 months old Only dog Could live with children age 10+ No known health issues Walks well on lead Happy to ignore dogs when out walking Good in the home but wouldn’t cope with being left for prolonged periods Duke desperately needs a chance and we know will make someone very happy. Today we sat in the kitchen with him on our laps. He snuggled in kissed us then fell asleep with his head on my chest. When he’s out walking he will stick to your side and is a dream to walk. He isn’t bothered by other dogs and will ignore them. This boy has so much potential yet is sadly being overlooked so we ask you all please share his appeal. ** Now rehomed 💕** Our beautiful Roxy is sadly still looking for a home. She has spent 6 months with us and had zero interest. Roxy would be a fantastic companion dog for the right home. She is the most loving girl. Sadly Roxy recently had to have her tail amputated due to injuring it but has recovered well. Roxy needs an adult only home with no pets, she is NOT dog friendly. She is happy to be left and will greet people in the home fine. She will be fine with visiting dog savvy children once she knows them. On lead she will guard so we only introduce her to people inside with a lead. Doing this she is brilliant and accepts people straight away. Roxy isn’t bothered by walks as they can stress her out so a play in the garden or occasional field is all she needs. She’s around 7yrs old as so deserving of that special home where she can relax and snuggle up with her special human. Even if you can’t offer her a home please share. **now rehomed** Dogs name - Pep Age and sex- 3-4yrs People – Very good with all he meets Can I live with children - Teenagers only age 13+ Can I live with cats – No Can I live with other dogs ­– Yes friendly females Health - No health issues but being a blue requires a good diet to help his coat. In the home – Pep is house trained and great with visitors. He does have Separation Anxiety so requires a home with someone around. Out and about – He’s well behaved on lead. He has same sex aggression so needs to be kept on lead and away from other male dogs. However on lead he will ignore other dogs and happily play with female dogs. Type of home - Pep could live as an only dog or with a nice female in a home where he isn’t left for long periods. Can I live with children - Yes ages 5 upwards Can I live with cats – No Can I live with other dogs ­– No Health - No health issues In the home – Della has separation anxiety so needs a home with someone around ideally in a rural environment. Out and about – Della is extremely lead reactive and is walked in a muzzle. She has played with laid back males off leash but this needs very careful intros Type of home - Della would suit a family with land and no other pets where she isn’t left. She is crate trained and with work the separation anxiety could be worked on. Sadly Della has had numerous homes and none have worked out for her. She is a loving playful girl in the right environment. She wouldn’t cope in a built up area and needs a quite rural home from busy city life. ** Dogs name - Torro Age and sex - Male, 2yrs old People – Torro is good with people but isn’t a typical affectionate Velcro boy. He prefers toys to fuss. Can I live with children - Teens only Can I live with cats – No Can I live with other dogs ­– No Health - No health issues In the home – Torro needs a pet free home and a busy one. He isn’t a dog who will lounge on a sofa. He loves a ball and likes to be outside playing with it. Out and about – Torro can be lead aggressive but here with us he’s worked so hard and is able to be walked ignoring other dogs. In his new home he will need to continue this training so he doesn’t slip back into old habits. Type of home - Torro would suit a rural home or farm where he can be outside all day playing with his beloved ball then in at night crash out. No other dogs but possibly farm animals as long as kept separately. With his ball he has fantastic commands which will aid further training beautifully. He has mastered basic commands and others thanks to that ball. 9 month old Fallon is looking for her forever home. Dogs name - Fallon Age and sex - 9 month old female People – Fallon is great with people. She can get over excited but training and consistency will solve this. Can I live with children - We have no background on Fallon so are saying teenagers only. She’s not shown any aggression to children so visiting children will be fine. Can I live with cats – no. Can I live with other dogs ­– Fallon would be ideal as only dog to start with while she learns boundaries and training. Health - No health issues In the home – Fallon is good in the home and can be left for a few hours. She will need reminding of toilet training as isn’t quite there yet. Out and about – Fallon gets excited on lead around other dogs, if a dog has a pop she will defend herself. Off lead she will play with dogs. Type of home - Fallon needs a home where they are happy to teach and train her. She is a loving but high energy girl. She will require consistency and time but will mature beautifully in the right hands. Sadly Fallon ended up in the pound at 7 months so missed valuable learning time. Yesterday we picked up baby Martha. Her ears are mangled and after consulting with our vets sadly most of them will need to be amputated on Friday. We are running a fundraiser for this girl to help with her medical costs (details in 4th pic or on our Facebook page). We will not be taking any applications for her until she is signed off via our vets.
